Emil Otto:
Sustainable chemicals
for a green future
A key focus of our work is the development of sustainable applications and products that take ecological, social and economic aspects into account. This is why we at Emil Otto have been making decisions for years that not only serve a ‘sustainable image‘. Instead, these are actually characterized as sustainable solutions and also define our corporate strategy.
- Ecological sustainability
For ecological reasons, we do not use bio-alcohol in the production of our fluxes
- Social sustainability
We do not use bio-alcohol in the production of our fluxes for ethical and moral reasons
We are part of strong networks for a sustainable future
Emil Otto is active in various networks that are committed to ecological and social responsibility. These memberships emphasise our commitment to sustainable and responsible action.
Sustainability as an
economic success factor
Sustainable action also includes economic action. We are therefore constantly looking for optimisation potential that offers our customers significant added value in product application and production. This enables us to optimise processes and reduce costs.
We want to consistently optimise our direct and indirect energy consumption
High-performance, sustainable products for electronics, metal and solar
As part of our customised flux developments, we have repeatedly been asked for ecologically sustainable products. As a sustainability-oriented company, we have responded to this demand and developed an extensive portfolio of ecological fluxes. Our focus was not only on an environmentally friendly end product, but also on resource-saving production and safe, uncomplicated transport.
Our fluxes are based on water and are completely biodegradable. They do not have to be classified as hazardous goods and can be transported, stored and processed in an environmentally friendly manner. Our hybrid fluxes, a combination of water and alcohol, also offer an excellent balance between performance and sustainability. Despite minimising the alcohol content, they maintain the thermal stability and soldering properties required for demanding applications.
Our water-based and hybrid fluxes can be used on standard production systems. The soldering results are in no way inferior to those of alcohol-based fluxes. Switching to these environmentally friendly, water-based and hybrid fluxes is easy and offers our customers considerable added value.
